Andrew George has over 20 years experience as a criminal lawyer and was first admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1989. Andrew has been an Accredited Criminal Law Specialist since 1995.

Andrew began his career as a solicitor in the criminal law section of the firm Slater & Gordon. Since he was admitted to in 1989 he has always practiced in Melbourne’s western suburbs based in both Footscray and Sunshine. Andrew has a commitment to work on behalf of the working people of Victoria. Andrew is the former chairperson of the Buoyancy Drug Foundation and was a member of the committee of management of the Public Interest Law Clearing House (PILCH) for over 10 years including a period as Secretary. He has also been a volunteer at the Springvale Legal Service and the Brimbank Legal Service. Andrew spent 6 months in Papua New Guinea and assisted in establishing the first community legal service in that country.
